The Association for Defence of Azerbaijani Political Prisoners in Iran (ADAPP) would like to cordially invite you to the annual Canada Day Celebration at the Harbourfront Center in Toronto, Ontario. This year, Amnesty International gave ADAPP the opportunity to represent Iranian Azerbaijan by providing us with a tent to showcase Azerbaijani culture, dance and artwork in Amnesty International's Global Refugee Village. ADAPP is very pleased to represent Iranian Azerbaijan among the many other nations in attendance, such as Colombia, El Salvador, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sri Lanka and Eritrea.

The festivities will last from 12PM – 6PM, at which time various Azerbaijani artists will showcase Azerbaijani artwork and sculptures. Informative brochures about Iranian Azerbaijan’s history and culture will be provided. From 5:30-6PM, a special Iranian Azerbaijani dance performance will be given by the Araz Dance group, set to the sounds of enchanting music from the Azerbaijan.

Amnesty International will also campaign on behalf of Iranian Azerbaijani prisoners of conscience.

This family-friendly event is open to everyone who is interested.
