Arrests in South Azerbaijan
Mansour Aminian, Azerbaijani activist, arrested without any sentence

Mansour Aminian, secretary of Islamic association of technical faculty of Tabriz University, arrested by Intelligence Ministry officials, on 20 August.
Reportedly, security officials had called Aminian to presence in Tabriz, and set an appointment. Aminian attended in recognized place with his father and forces detained him without any sentence.

Amir Mardani, the Azerbaijani activist was arrested by the Security officials

According to Amirkabir Newsletter, Amir Mardani, the Azerbaijani activist was arrested by the Security officials on 13th of August. He is the Mechanics Engineering student in Tabriz University. He also was detained for 20 days, two years ago. It has been said that the agents inspected his father's house late at night. Sajjad Radmehr, Aydin Khajeyi and Faraz Zehtab are the other Azerbaijani activist in Tabriz University who has been detained since 17th of July.
Pressures on South Azerbaijani students

After Amir Mardani^s contact with home from prison, on behalf of security
organizations it has been promised that his family will be allowed to visit
Amir on Saturday.
Security officials even denied detainment of Amir earlier on Saturday but
afterwards due to insist of Amir^s family, they mentioned that his family
don^t have permission to visit him.
Amir was supposed to be transferred to query office in
Tabriz prison but it has not happened. Intelligence service of Tabriz
refuses responding his family due to the holiday on Sunday.
Meanwhile security organizations efforts to detain other activists in Tabriz University are going on. Within last few days security officers have invaded to the house of students in Tabriz and Khoy and have inspected their houses and since they were not at home they couldn^t detain these activists.
