Demonstration in London to support Mr. Alireza Imani

South Azerbaijani political activists demonstrated from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on 16/ March/ 09 to emphasize the fact that Netherlands' Government and judiciary system have failed in the case of Mr Alireza Imani who is the Member of the South Azerbaijan Independent Party - GAIP
He is being kept in a solitary confinement while he is in hunger strike. He was striped and kept in a cold cell, beaten and humiliated by prison authorities. He is tortured by sleep deprivation, keeping the lights on all day and night. His nose is bleeding. His bowel movement is bloody. Mr. Imani has dedicated his life to freedom, human rights and democracy, that is why he would be prosecuted and killed by Iranian terrorist regime upon his deportation.
South Azerbaijanis' protested to voice their concern about his physical and mental health and support Mr Alireza Imani's freedom and all his demands.

We are seriously concerned and worried about condition of 31 people in hunger strike from Wednesday, Feb 19, 2009 under incarceration. They are in hunger strike to protest not getting reply for their applications, threats of deportation, and the terrible condition of the prison. They are held at Bepentie centrum-Tenpo l64-1438 EJ Oudemeer

Among these 31 people is Mr. Alireza Imani, an active member of South Azerbaijani Independence Party. He too is threatened to be deported to Iran . We are very disappointed to know that from February 20th, 2009 he is being kept in the solitary confinement. Today, it is the sixth day that Mr. Alireza Imani is on hunger strike. His health condition is serious. He is in need of medical attention. He is punished for defending his and his friend's rights. We believe it is against Natherland's, Europe's and world's standards of human rights to punish a person who's life is dedicated for human rights and freedom.

We are certain he will be tortured and killed by Iranian Terrorist authorities upon deportation.

We are asking all concerned organization to help us better their condition, free them from prison, attend their application, and stop deportations.
