Azerbaijani activist detained in Tabriz

South Azerbaijnai cultural and linguistic rights activist Mahmoud Fazli was arrested on June 8th by Intelligence agents.

According to the Association for the Defense of Azerbaijani Political Prisoners in Iran(ADAPP), the agents then went to Fazli’s parents’ house, where they seized his personal items after performing a house search. There is still no word on the official cause of Fazli’s arrest or his current whereabouts. Fazli also previously had been arrested several times.
